CASHEW KERNELS

Since 1990, Vietnam has emerged as a well-known producer of cashew nuts. Within a decade, Vietnam began to grow cashews as a strategic plant. Cashews are mainly grown across a wide spectrum of regional areas between Binh Phuoc Province, Dak Nong Province, Dak Lak Province, Binh Duong Province, etc. However, Binh Phuoc Province to account for over 50% of the total cashew production of Vietnam.

Currently, Vietnam is the largest exporter of cashew kernels in the world thanks to favorable climate and other environmental conditions. The harvesting season of raw cashew nuts in Vietnam is between February and June. In 2022, approximately 335 thousand metric tons of cashew nuts were produced in Vietnam.
